Minerva Biotechnologies’ CEO Dr. Cynthia Bamdad will present at the annual meeting of the International Society for Cellular Therapy (ISCT) in Melbourne, Australia. Dr. Bamdad’s talk will describe Minerva’s 1st-in-human CAR T for solid tumors; clinical trials are expected to begin Q3/Q4 2019 at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. This novel CAR T targets a cancer specific, membrane-bound cleavage product of MUC1, that we discovered and named MUC1* (muk 1 star). Dr. Bamdad will also preview Minerva’s Next-Gen CAR Ts.
The presentation is entitled, "First-in-human CAR T for solid tumors targets the MUC1 transmembrane cleavage product." It will take place in Plenary Hall at 11:00 AM, Thursday, May 30th.
